Moyer & Son Inc. Announces Acquistion of Fisher & Son Company, Inc. Horse Feeds

     The Pet & Animal Feeds Division and the ownership of Moyer & Son are pleased to announce that Moyer & Son has acquired the Horse Feed operation of Fisher & Son Company as of Monday evening, May 14th, 2001. Fisher & Son Company, like Moyer & Son, is a family business. Fisher's have been operating a Horse Feed mill in Malvern, Pa, for two generations. Our two companies have a history of collaboration. Moyer & Son has made pellets for the Fisher Horse feeds previously and continues to do so today. Beginning on June 1st, 2001, Moyer & Son will take over the manufacture, sale, and distribution of the entire Fisher Horse Feed line. We will continue our relationship going forward as Fisher has agreed to become a distributor through their Malvern warehouse of our Horse Feed line. We are looking forward to a successful transition of the various responsibilities from Fisher & Son Company to Moyer & Son during the next three weeks. Each of our operating departments have been working hard to ensure that this transition goes smoothly from the point of view of our customers and from that of our employees. The acquisition of Fisher & Son Company's Horse Feed business marks an important time for the Pet & Animal Feeds Division as we continue to re-define our place in the Animal Feed business, and as we expand our position in the Horse Feed industry.
