Moyer & Son Adapts Residential Lawn Irrigation to Bucks County Horse Pasture

It was an unusual request, but a customer from Carversville, Bucks County called and asked Moyer & Son Lawn Irrigation to install a system on two acres of horse pasture on their horse farm. It seems that the owners have an appreciation for animals. They have rabbits, dogs, birds (including a pair of black swans), and are show horse enthusiasts. They wanted a greener pasture for their horses reducing their need to buy feed during the dry months - allowing the horses to graze.

Six men worked for seven days to complete the installation. It was a challenge as the pasture was at one time wooded, so the ground was laced with old roots and stumps. It required more than 100 sprinkler heads and some unique design work to push the volume of water needed to cover the area.
The owner was so pleased with the completed work, that they went on to have additional systems placed in the front and back yards of their house with future plans to irrigate an area behind their pool - currently being landscaped.

Not only the owners, but Goose, Moose, and Storm (the show horses) are pretty happy with their new lush, green pasture.
