Frequently Asked Questions About Lawn Care
- When can my child or pet go on the lawn after an application?
We suggest you stay off the grass for a period of one hour as a precaution. However, if the application is liquid, you may want to stay off the lawn until the turf dries. If a granular application is applied, you may immediately traffic the lawn.
- What affect does the rain have on my application?
A positive one for the most part as the rain moves the treatment down towards the roots where it will do the most good. The effectiveness of some applications like broadleaf weed control can decrease only if the application is applied when raining; therefore, this treatment is provided when weather permits.
- Should I be concerned if my pet ate the grass after an application?
If this happened an hour or more after the application your pet should be okay; however, as a precaution, we suggest you call a veterinarian.
- Should I be concerned if an application gets on my garden?
We take great care in ensuring that materials do not enter your garden, however, sometimes, unusual wind conditions may cause this to happen. If it does, we recommend you avoid eating the plants or vegetable, that were sprayed.
- How much time is appropriate for my Moyer & Son Lawn & Tree Care specialist to be in my lawn for the best results?
As long as it takes. Time is not an issue for us as we want the results to be just what you are looking for.
- How long after an application should I mow the lawn?
We suggest waiting 24 hours after the application.
- What is the proper mowing height for my lawn?
All cool-season grasses should be mowed at the highest possible setting to produce the most dense turf. The first and last mowings should be shorter at around 3". Generally speaking, set your lawn mower higher and mow more often for the best grass.
