North Penn Arts Alliance Presents 15th Annual Members’ Exhibition

The North Penn Arts Alliance 15th Annual Members’ Exhibition on April 23–25 gave special recognition to the works of 43 adult and junior artists among the more than 140 pieces on display. The art show was celebrated in conjunction with Elm Terrace Gardens’ Annual Flower Show in Lansdale, PA.

Moyer Indoor Outdoor is a major sponsor of the event as well as sponsor of the Best in Show award. The award was presented by Jim Church, radio personality and Moyer Community Relations Representative, to Marcia Field for her “Rose of Sharon” lamp. Painstakingly constructed from cut-glass pieces over a 10-year period, the lamp is topped by Ms. Field’s Tiffany-styled stained glass shade. The Upper Gwynedd resident has been a frequent contributor to the NPAA exhibit, but this is her first award.

This year’s show, juried by international multimedia artist and teacher Vaughn Stubbs, included the creative works of kindergarteners to senior citizens and represented a range of mediums: watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pen & ink, woodcut, mixed media, ceramics, charcoal, pencil, sculpture and photography. The awards program on Friday evening was emceed by Edward Cardell, Director of Marketing for Moyer Indoor Outdoor and a past NPAA board member.

A long-time supporter of the arts, Moyer has been involved in the Arts Alliance for more than 10 years. NPAA is a volunteer, nonprofit visual arts organization based in Lansdale, providing an outlet for preserving and promoting artistic growth and culture in our community. It meets the first Wednesday of every month, 7:30pm, at the Univest Insurance Building, 521 W. Main Street, Lansdale. Meetings are free and open to the public.
