SOUDERTON, PA – Area residents will get their chance to get up close and personal with an Alaskan dog sled team when Rob Downey and his champion racers visit The Store at Moyer Indoor Outdoor on Saturday, May 23. Downey, the owner and developer of Annamaet Petfoods, will be at The Store (located at 113 E. Reliance Road, Souderton) from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. to talk about his dogs and the adventures they have had during more than 19 consecutive winters in the Arctic, including wild animal attacks. This event is free and open to the public.

As the owner and developer of Annamaet Petfoods, Downey brings a broad knowledge of animal nutrition to the pet food industry along with hands-on experience as a serious breeder and racer of Alaskan Husky sled dogs. In January, Downey and his dogs beat out nearly 300 teams to claim the bronze medal at this year’s World Championships held in Northern Quebec.
