Souderton, Pa-April 28,2010 –The 16th Annual North Penn Arts Alliance Members’ Exhibition was celebrated at Elm Terrace Gardens, in Lansdale. The event, which took place on April 22-24, proved yet again that it is a landmark show for area artists. Juried by Marlene Serafine Gaudio, there were over 150 entries, from artist of all age ranges – kindergarten to seniors – in all mediums: watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, pen & ink, woodcut, mixed media, ceramic, clay, charcoal, pencil and photography.
The NPAA Members' Exhibition is held each year in the spring. With more than $1,800 in prizes, this juried art show brings out the best of area artists in several different categories, and demonstrates the vibrant creative culture that's alive in the North Penn community. Seven specialty awards were given throughout the competition; including Best of show, which was presented by Moyer’s Community Relations Representative, Jim Church. Area artists could also enter into six categories; in each segment awards were given for first, second, third, and honorable mention.
The Best of Show award was presented to Dan Fione by Church. Fione was awarded Best of Show for his Graphic Pen & Ink piece title “Food”. Fione illustriously depicted an assortment of meats, dishes, and fruits in, “Food”; a piece which Church described as, “unique and appetizing!”
