Keith Leitmeyer, a local Senior, was awarded a scholarship from Moyer & Son, Inc, of Souderton, for his achievement in Cross-Country. Bob Williamson, General Manager of Moyer & Son Home Services, presented Keith with his scholarship in an award ceremony which took place at the Souderton Area High School on June 5.

While at Souderton, Keith was a member of the Cross Country Team for 3 years. He was nominated by his Cross Country Coach, John Donahue. “While succeeding both as Team Captain, and an honor student, Keith worked incredibly hard to drop his 5K time” stated Donahue.

Keith plans on using his scholarship to attend Muhlenberg College this fall to study Chemistry.

“Keith’s accomplishments and hard work made him a clear choice for this year’s scholarship. It was great to honor him for these achievements," stated Williamson.

More than 120 scholarships were presented at the ceremony from area businesses, individuals, associations and other groups. This is the fourth year that Moyer & Son awarded the Cross-Country Scholarship, which are funded through the proceeds of the Moyer & Son 5K Race. "We hope to have a great turn out for this year's Moyer & Son 5K so that we can continue to help students like Keith in the years to come," stated Williamson.

The Moyer & Son 5k will take place on Wednesday evening, July 11 at the Souderton Area Park. For more information, or to register on-line, visit emoyer.com.
