On Tuesday, May 9, 2006, seven representatives from Moyer & Son stepped out into the community and read books to second grade students throughout the Souderton Area. This event is organized by the North Penn Chamber of Commerce and sends almost 100 reading volunteers into 33 public and private schools.

More than 2,050 students enjoyed stories read by guest readers who then left their book with each class. Participants from Moyer & Son included, Jim Church, Erin Crew, Sheridan Ficarro, Dawn McDonald, Becky Oglialoro, Elaine Walker, and Ed Cardell. We received many thank you notes and cards from the students. We have helped with this event since it's beginning and are intending to do so again in 2007. It represents our core value of "Serving Our Community".
