Wet Conditions at Lake Lenape Park Move the Event to the Pennridge South Middle School Perkasie, PA– September 2006— For 38 years, Sellersville has attracted some of the region's best artists to its Gallery in the Park celebration of the arts and family festival. This year, conditions at Lake Lenape Park were too wet to accommodate the artists and large crowd. To plan for such a weather event, the committee moved it to the backup location at Pennridge South Middle School where hundreds of people enjoyed a combination of indoor and outdoor displays on a beautiful, sunny day. In addition to the record number of artists and crafters in attendance, there were food and beverages, children's activities, and live music performed by The Quakertown Band. Moyer & Son, Inc. of Souderton, PA, for the 7th year, sponsored Gallery in the Park. Ed Cardell, marketing manager for Moyer & Son, presented Michael Kehs with the best-of-show award. Michael is a well-known Bucks County artist, who has participated and won awards in many art shows and craft shows locally and nationally. Active in both local and national turning and carving clubs, he has also demonstrated and taught his craft in workshops. As an active participant and supporter of the arts communities in both Bucks and Montgomery Counties, Moyer & Son is committed to the advancement of culture and the arts in our region. In addition to Gallery in the Park, Moyer & Son plays an active role many other community arts organizations.
