On Wednesday evening, May 23rd, twenty-two North Penn area high school students were recipients of scholarships through the North Penn Area Scholarship Fund Association.

Each recipient of a scholarship was awarded a minimum of $1,000. One first year award and scholarship was given on behalf of the Board of Directors of the North Penn Art Alliance.

Moyer & Son is a corporate member/sponsor of the Art Alliance and supports numerous events including the Annual Members Exhibit.

“Presenting a scholarship at this event is very gratifying. A students with an overwhelming talent and interest in art is financially assisted to continue in their studies at the college level,” stated Ed Cardell, Director of Marketing for Moyer & Son.

This year’s North Penn Art Alliance Scholarship winner was Scott McClennen.

His parents, Tom and Donna McClennen, proudly looked on as their son, a future Temple University student accepted this award. Scott will pursue a film and media arts major, satisfying his passion for the theater arts as well as extending his talents into film at one of the areas highest regarded communications schools.

Scott has an impressive high school transcript that demonstrates his love for theater.
