In August of 2004, Derstine Company of Souderton spent almost two weeks at our bulk plant power washing, scraping, priming and putting two coats of high gloss white paint on our one million gallon heating oil storage tank. Once the paint had dried, an updated vinyl logo was installed by Display and Sign Center of Colmar. This project is part of ongoing facility upgrades and maintenance that keep Moyer & Son in compliance with current environmental, safety, security, and spill response regulations. Over the past several years, Moyer & Son has reconstructed the containment area around our storage tanks, routed storm water runoff piping to oil/water separation storage, installed security fencing, designed and installed containment for the loading and unloading of fuels, and replaced all underground piping with above ground piping. Following the tank paint and logo project in 2004, Pine Run Construction relocated all of the piping at the loading area to "troughs" which allow visual inspection and have spill containment. All of these changes are at significant investment to Moyer & Son Home Services and demonstrate our commitment to safety, security, environmental responsibility, and the growth of our business.
