Together they have served over 125 Years Companies across the nation are challenged with retaining a solid base of employees. Moyer & Son Inc. is no different. Our ability to successfully do so is reflected in the sixteen coworkers who received Service Awards at our recent employee banquet – awards are presented for every 5 years of service. Even more impressive, these sixteen are among 97 individuals who have been with the company over five years! Climbing the ladder might be some words to describe Bruce Landis’ twenty years of service. It was in October 1987 that Bruce accepted a shop attendant’s position; little did he know that it would be the catalyst of an ever challenging career providing him increasing opportunities. Service dispatcher, dispatch coordinator, Mechanical CSR Manager and, at present, service manager for the entire mechanical division are the positions we remember Bruce has had– there may have been more! Bruce’s drive, work ethic, and professional demeanor are what brought these opportunities on. And, he is not all work. A lifetime sports enthusiast, Bruce successfully balances family and work life and makes time for his community – he is active in the Souderton Education Foundation and a graduate of the Leadership Institute. In 1992, on January 2, when most people aren’t thinking about lawns, Larry Ellmaker joined the company’s Lawn Care department. He arrived with a lot of previous experience in the field and today, provides expert technician services to our most Northern Customers. Larry was a Supervisor for some time and today handles much of our Northampton County work; he is very much self-motivated and self-directed, he is a strong asset to Moyer & Son Inc. In the fall of 1992, Ned Price walked in and he’s been walking ever since, delivering internal mail throughout our campus. Ned had just “retired” from a career in outside sales; his personable skills from that field have translated into our morning perk. Thank you for jump starting our day Ned and keeping our departments functioning more efficiently through your services. Eleven individuals were recognized for five years of service. Each was presented with a gift at the Employee Banquet in November.
