In 2007 Tara Isabella won the Super Stock Division of the Souderton Soap Box Derby in her Moyer sponsored car. She went on to compete at the National level in Arkron Ohio. Both Tara and her car retired at the end of that season. As is the norm each year, the Soap Box Derby Competition in Souderton on June 7th, 2008 began with the two winners from last year’s race in an exhibition run down the hill. And so, with the help of her father Tony, Tara took yet one more trip down the hill in her Super Stock Car sporting our past logo. Following the run, and after years of racing the Moyer Car, Tara stepped in to the announcer’s booth and called the day’s events.

Quentin Williams, son of Dennis Williams (Transportation), in his second year of competition, took Tara’s place and stepped up into the Super Stock Division this year. Quentin and Dennis constructed the new Moyer sponsored car from a kit this past winter. It was painted and decaled with a look incorporating our new logo. Quentin won two of his heats in his first Super Stock Competition.

Bradley Nelligan, son of Joe Nelligan (Heat & Air) stepped in to race in the Stock Division in 2008 in a brand new car also sporting our new logo. Bradley’s brother Bryn, also eager to begin racing, took the wheel of a car sponsored by Ed’s TV. The boys did well in there first competition – with Bradley finishing 6th overall, and Bryn 7th in their division of almost 40 cars and Drivers.

Congratulations to Quentin, Bradley and Bryn on their big day. Thank you for representing us in this annual competition. Keep up the good work.
